Coakley Brothers Wins Two Major Government (GSA) Contracts

Coakley Brothers has been awarded two major Government (GSA) contracts. The Public Building Services contract will create opportunities with the property management area of the federal government and covers 6 geographic zones: Southern Illinois, Western Michigan, Southern Ohio, Western Minnesota, Eastern Minnesota & the entire state of Wisconsin.

The second contract, Schedule 48, create opportunities with government agencies that do not reside within federally managed property (VA, DNR, Defense Agencies, etc.) In effect, these two contracts will allow Coakley Brothers to develop new business with all branches of the Federal Government.

Benjamin J. Juech, Business Development Manager, explained that a dedicated GSA team worked on both contracts concurrently for 13 months, “the process was long, detailed and time consuming. However, it was highly educational for all involved. There were many times we thought we had it “figured out” only to return to square one and find ourselves directed upon a new path”. Throughout Coakley Brothers’ 123 year history they have supported all levels of government (Federal, State and Local but have never been a direct provider for any of the branches until now.
